Our client based near Fareham is looking to recruit an experienced Inventory Material Analyst to work on a double day shift.

The ideal candidate will be already experienced in the mechanics of perpetual inventory management within a dynamic environment, ideally with first tier automotive experience.

Already fully conversant with ERP systems (ideally with MFG/PRO or SAP) with an understanding of Drawings / Pack Spec / BOM’s

Strong analytical skills and IT systems knowledge are essential along with a process improvement mindset, problem solving skills and effective multi-tier communication skills.

Equally effective when working as part of a team or independently, embracing the entrepreneurial spirit and customer focused approach required to always deliver solutions in a result orientated business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To take full responsibility for all inventory accuracy from Goods Receipt to Finished Goods storage and despatch through to 3PL warehousing specializing in given area’s but providing cover as and when required.
  • To take ownership of an end-to-end inventory accuracy process performing both physical counts and system corrections
  • Initiate perpetual inventory mechanism to maintain continued accuracy and reliability of stock records, analyzing stock status and movement of all parts under control whilst maintaining production continuity.
  • Determine and prioritise daily/weekly counts by obtaining and analyzing information pertaining to build programme, incoming good, quality/packaging etc, to balance stock levels for all suppliers/ship to numbers.
  • To aid and support in the realisation of 100% stock accuracy for each location.
  • To aid in the accurate and efficient implementation of engineering/level changes ensuring that stock levels remain correct and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Assist other departments as required; Accounts Department in resolution of invoice queries, highlight possible discrepancies to Production Process, perform Stores searches for mislaid products.
  • To take ownership for reporting each discrepancy from point of highlight to full resolution, to track the outcome of each exception and aid in providing countermeasures/permanent corrective actions.
  • To investigate all discrepancies taking the necessary corrective actions, instigating the 8D process where required and driving preventative measures ensuring system and physical stock accuracy at all times.
  • To populate and issue weekly/monthly reports as required
  • To support in the understanding/recovery and prevention of obsolete inventory were required.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Ensure that you comply and adopt the 5S programme regarding the organisation of your work environment.
  • To ensure master data is accurate and up to date reporting any issues found.
  • To periodically review and report out on BOM / pack spec errors

EDUCATION/TRAINING

GCSE A - C

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in material control environment.
  • Manufacturing Process, Logistics, MRP and Supplier Management

KNOWLEDGE

  • Extensive Knowledge of ERP systems
  • MFG / MRP System
  • KANBAN System
