Sales Executive / Manager

£30-40K plus £8K additional OTE

Workshop recruitment have an exciting new opportunity for Sales executive/ Manager to join one of our well respected clients who specialise in a very niche market within the manufacturing industry. The company are based near Eastleigh in Hampshire and have been established for over 60 years and continue to grow year-on-year.

The main objective of the role is to grow the sales of mast products to exceed existing revenue and profit targets by improving conversion rates and gaining new customers. Adopt a proactive and persistent approach whilst delivering optimum customer service. Generate and follow up on enquiries, process orders, complete relevant reports, and associated administration. This role will work alongside an existing manager with broader responsibility, with the aim to take the lead for Mast product sales in 12 – 24 months.

Qualifications

Required

  • Qualified by experience with evidence of achieving growth and profits in technical environments
  • A knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)
  • A knowledge of Military markets and supply chains (Desirable)

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive, confident, and determined approach
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with rejection
  • A high degree of self-motivation and ambition
  • A good level of numeracy
  • Ability to build good working relationships
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Highly competent with solid commercial acumen
  • Able to manage own workload and used to working in a small team
  • A desire to get stuck in and get involved with the business

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
  • Initiate and manage sales campaigns to find new opportunities and customers.
  • Continually refine the sales process and systems to enable it to easily scale up
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations
  • Manage sales channel partners and identify potential new channel opportunities
  • Undertake domestic and international trips to support account, channel and promotion plans.
  • Manage existing key accounts
  • Present sales and forecast reports to the management team
  • Attend networking events
  • Research the market and related products. Identify emerging markets and market trends and be fully aware of new products and competition status

Package

  • £30-40k plus OTE of £8k per year
  • 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (rising up to 25 with 1 day added each year of service)
