Our client is recruiting for a Hardware Sales Account Manager reporting directly to the Sales Director. The role involves selling high quality critical power equipment (UPS and generator sets) and associated services into M&E Contractors, End Users, Facilities Managers, Local Authorities and Consulting Engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods to achieve agreed targets and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and prioritise business development activities and customer / prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales – especially managing personal time and productivity.
  • Manage product / service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
  • Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and systems, and update relevant information held in the CRM systems.
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  • To generate accurate sales forecasts.
  • Liaise with vendors for product information, availability, special projects and new products.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Provide management with market feedback.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in either UPS and / or Generators.
  • A strong and proven track record in sales / business development with evidence of achieving monthly targets consistently.
  • Must be an excellent face to face and telephone communicator.
  • Able to demonstrate success.
  • Experience of developing business opportunities, client retention and building new account opportunities.
  • Experience managing accounts, customers and large contracts.
  • Experience of achieving genuine sales and business development targets.
  • Experience of managing sales orders valued from £1k up to and exceeding £500k.
  • Maintaining and building relationships with clients.
  • Competent production of tenders, quotations, proposals and presentations.
  • Full driving licence - sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel throughout the UK. There may also be a requirement for you to travel to the Channel Islands and Europe.
