This role will take primary responsibility for the management of the business`s multiple websites, printed media, development and content for this nationally recognised franchise brand, maintaining and building online and offline presence for the future.

You will work closely to support and manage our clients third party outsourced digital partners including Pay Per Click (PPC), social media, traditional marketing strands and video production.

For the right candidate, this role could develop into being the `go to` person within the business for the management of the online and offline marketing strategy and will provide plenty of opportunity to showcase your marketing expertise and capabilities. Whilst managing the marketing, you will be encouraged to work autonomously and be hands on in working with our client`s partners on project delivery.

This role will require you to visit other sites from time to time to demonstrate to them and educate them on the benefits online marketing can bring to their individual businesses. You will also be expected to delivery training and demonstrations to groups of franchisees at best practice days. This may involve the odd overnight stay away from home.

Key Responsibilities

Management of websites & SEO

  • Adding new content and graphics
  • Carrying out SEO and analytics activities
  • Setting up new pages for franchises to ensure that the content is fresh and up-to-date and it`s a successful source of leads for the franchise network
  • Identifying new opportunities for creating new web pages, sourcing copy from the company`s copywriter and updating pages as directed
  • Taking hands on responsibility for managing SEO for the company`s websites, using up-to-date knowledge of Google`s algorithms
  • Ensuring that you stay up to date with developments in SEO marketing


Pay Per Click

  • Working closely with our clients PPC partner to optimise and improve conversion rates for 100 plus Pay Per Click campaigns for Google, Facebook and Bing Ads which requires you to create and test new landing pages, carry out A/B testing, new campaigns, adverts, negatives and keywords
  • By being the point of contact for questions and communication, promote PPC marketing to the franchise network, clearly explaining and demonstrating the benefits
  • Analyse web traffic and create detailed monthly PPC reports
  • Research and identify new opportunities for PPC marketing
  • Ensure that you stay up to date with developments in PPC marketing


Social Media

  • Work closely with the outsourced social media partner to ensure that social media activities are in support of the brand


Other Responsibilities

  • Video content : working with outsourced partners to develop video content
  • Support the work of Business Development Managers by providing regular information and monthly reporting on statistics relating to systems, customers, documents, and marketing activities
  • You will have the opportunity to research and explore other digital marketing activities to establish relevance for promoting the network in the future


Education, knowledge, skills and experience

  • Demonstrable people management experience with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Demonstrable hands on experience of SEO and social media
  • Previous experience of online pay per click campaign management
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Previous experience of using online tools
  • Familiarity with analytics and online measurement tools
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Degree educated
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Web design knowledge desirable
  • Experience of using video in marketing desirable
  • Able to manage digital agencies
  • A self-motivated person who is keen to learn and to share that learning with others
  • Must be innovative and creative with the ability to continually improve and evolve, in particular coming up with new marketing messages and concepts to suit the changing market
  • Must be comfortable with multi-tasking and able to work to deadlines
  • Must show the right attitude to ethical digital marketing techniques and be data-driven with the ability to turn insight into action
  • Able to work independently and on own initiative with minimum instruction
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team and to build close working relationships, in particular with external marketing partners
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and react promptly to potential problems
  • Must be able to deal with people at all levels of seniority
