Mechanical Project Engineer

Workshop Recruitment have a new exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a very respected client of ours who are known worldwide as a market leader for designing and supplying filtration solutions for an array of industries. They are based near whitely in Hampshire.

We are happy to speak to mechanical design engineers who are ultimately happy to step up as a project engineer.

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Establish project milestones, monitor and ensure deadlines are achieved, communicate status to relevant parties both internal and external.
  • Analyse products to ensure integrity of design and performance specifications are met. Prepare technical documentation/reports/calculations as required
  • Monitor and control unit and project costs to meet profit targets and agreed budgets
  • Conduct Project/Design reviews during project lifetime.
  • Provide technical support to sales both internally and externally at the customer`s site.
  • Analyse sales/customer requirements and prepare technical proposals, specifications and drawings for tender.
  • Full driving licence
  • Some International travel may be required
  • Flexible working hours (some unsocial)
  • Standard hours: Mon : Thurs 8.00 a.m. : 5.00 p.m. Fri 8.00 a.m. : 12.00 (noon)

Communicate effectively with the following:

  • Sales Engineers/ Account Managers
  • Customers
  • Manufacturing/ Quality and Purchasing teams
  • Subcontractors
  • Applications

Candidate Specification

  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience including a sound knowledge of fluid mechanics and pressure systems.
  • Familiar with quite complex mechanical design, i.e taking into account stress calculations, CFD, FEA etc when designing : this is what makes it a technically centric role.
  • 3D CAD Experience
  • Solidworks knowledge
  • Degree/HNC Minimum in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Full driving licence

  • £38,000- £45,000
