Senior Theatre Practitioner : Theatre Department

A position has become available within a medium sized private hospital in Chertsey, Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to join a UK wide group, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country

They`re looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to cover a flexible shift pattern, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary on offer for the role is up to £43,000 per annum.

Candidate requirements:

  1. Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  2. BN Adult Nursing degree or Diploma of Higher Education Operating Department Practice ODP
  3. Good communication skills
  4. Mentorship qualification
  5. Approved / recognised anaesthetic course
  6. ILS
  7. Previous experiencing managing and leading a clinical team


Some of your main roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Leading the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
  • Leading the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
  • Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
  • Contribute to quality improvement
  • Teaching and supporting students
  • Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care
