Are you passionate about machinery or technical products and enjoy building strong customer relationships? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machinery Sales Executive to join a successful, family-run business supplying specialist equipment across the South of England. The Machinery Sales Executive role is about much more than simply closing sales. This is NOT a cold calling sales role, but more consultative with inbound sales conversions. Youll develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers, understand their requirements and guide them through the process from initial enquiry to purchase and aftercare.
As a Machinery Sales Executive, youll represent a range of respected machinery products across sectors including agriculture, construction, groundscare and forestry. Youll have the opportunity to develop your product knowledge through manufacturer-specific training while becoming a valued member of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and develop machinery sales opportunities from initial enquiry to completion
Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable machinery solutions
Promote and develop the company’s machinery product portfolio
Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process
Attend occasional trade shows and industry events
Work collaboratively with the sales team to manage stock levels
Support social media activity and product promotion
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge and understanding of machinery/large technical products
Confident, engaging and customer-focused communication style
Genuine ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
Commercially driven with a strong desire to succeed
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
Organised approach with the ability to manage leads effectively
Positive team player with a proactive attitude
Salary Up to £40,000 per year depending on experience
Working Hours 8am 5pm Monday to Friday (1:4 Saturday mornings may be introduced with a Friday afternoon given in lieu)
