Our client is a dynamic company looking for an experienced stone fabricator. Candidates need to be organised & demonstrate critical thinking for this versatile role working as a key member of a small team using a range of machinery and hand tools to produce high quality stone fabrication work.

Based in Hampshire, their small but diverse team have an extensive knowledge in sourcing, designing, manufacturing, and fitting lightweight stone products. With a worldwide client base in various sectors, they are looking to offer a unique opportunity to manufacture a wide variety of stone products.

Duties

As a fabricator, you will be responsible for shaping, polishing, constructing, assembling and repairing items such as stone worktops, cladding panels and other components. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of fabrication techniques. The responsibilities include the below:

  • Shaping, polishing, mitering and chamfering a wide range of stone materials to drawings using various hand tools and machinery
  • Reading and interpreting templates, drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Laminating and expanding aluminium honeycomb for composite panel manufacture
  • Ensuring finished goods are inspected at regular intervals and in accordance with relevant procedures, ensuring products are produced to a high standard.
  • Occasional on-site work to install or template.
  • Help with loading and unloading of deliveries.
  • Be able to cover for senior stone masons during holiday or sick leave.
  • Assist with general shop floor housekeeping and maintenance and day-to-day operations of factory floor.
  • Collaboration with team members to ensure efficient workflow and completion of projects.
  • General Health & safety awareness and compliance with all H&S policies and procedures.

Required qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with hand tools and machinery
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to fit into a small team
  • Time management and organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to self-manage
