Our client is fast growing company who specialise in the design and manufacture of products for the Television and Film Industries. With more than 30 years’ experience, they are looking for candidates with experience in Production/Manufacturing environments to join their expanding team.

You will be responsible for the assembly of electrical parts and sub-assemblies in the production of the company’s products.

Successful candidate will be working alongside the Assembly Technician staff in their production department, this will involve supporting exiting products with customers and repairs in house.

Own transport is essential due to our location.

Main Duties:

  • Assembly and testing of all outgoing products
  • Maintaining Quality Audit procedures for equipment assembly and have overall responsibility for final testing
  • Working to defined quality systems and procedures
  • Manufacturing of antennas and testing
  • Reporting errors in design documentation
  • Improving work instruction
  • Identify potential improvements and feedback to engineering
  • Maintaining and reporting stock levels to Line Manager
  • Customer support
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Clear practice of workplace H&S

Desired Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience in electronics, including basic soldering
  • Assembling cable and wire looms
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical, equipment and drawings
  • Understanding of BOM structures to identify components
  • Ability to follow assembly and test procedures
  • Experience using test and assembly equipment
  • Experience in circuit design and fault diagnosis at component level
  • GCSE Math’s and English – C or above
  • Any electronics qualifications would be advantageous
  • Good time management
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
  • Good organisational skills
  • Background knowledge in Broadcast TV would be advantageous

Contracted Job Hours: 8:00 -17:00 Mon-Thurs & 9:30-16:00 Fri
