Workshop Recruitment is supporting a leading advanced manufacturing business in the search for a skilled Quality Inspector to join their Portsmouth team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Quality Inspector looking to work within a quality-focused environment supporting high-specification products and components.
The successful Quality Inspector will be responsible for carrying out inspections across the shop floor, ensuring products meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and industry requirements before leaving production.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out shop floor inspections on products and components
Ensure compliance with AS9100, MIL standards, and company procedures
Use measuring equipment to verify components are within tolerance
Record inspection findings and maintain quality documentation
Raise non-conformance reports where required
Communicate quality issues with production and quality teams
Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role
Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude
Understanding of quality standards and procedures
IPC-A-610 certification desirable

Permanent position based in Portsmouth
Salary starting from £27,000 depending on experience
