CNC Saw Operator

About the Role

Are you a CNC Saw Operator with strong measuring skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn?

Workshop Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturing business with an opportunity to join its CNC team. You’ll learn to set and operate a CNC twin-blade mitre saw and produce components to high workmanship standards.

Full in-house training will be provided, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress onto 3-axis CNC machinery. This is a long-term role for someone reliable, hardworking and keen to build a career in CNC manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and learn to set a CNC twin-blade mitre saw.
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment accurately.
  • Read and follow technical and engineering drawings.
  • Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain required tolerances and workmanship standards.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Keep CNC machinery and tools clean and well maintained.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve production targets.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Previous experience in a CNC or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Good numeracy and accurate measurement skills.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Competence using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Basic understanding of workshop health and safety.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Clear communication and a reliable, punctual approach.
  • Willingness to learn CNC machining through full in-house training.

CNC Saw Operator experience within windows and doors manufacturing would be advantageous, but full training is available for the right candidate.

Salary: £13.00 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for pay progression as skills develop.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 41.5 hours per week.
