Our automotive client based in the Fareham area is looking to recruit an experienced Toolroom Supervisor with a Toolmaker background.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage and oversee the time, attendance and wellbeing of all Toolroom personnel To manage all Toolroom staff, including but not limited to PBO setting and performance monitoring. To control the day to day loading of work to the Toolmakers and Machinists To keep all tooling jobs on track and within agreed timescales Responsible for the MAPEX TPM schedule Responsible for quoting Internal tooling and development jobs To lead and assist in Toolroom improvement activities To work with minimum supervision Liaise with mould shop staff and managers Support all engineering departments Ensure all working procedures within the department are adhered to by all toolroom staff. To assist in controlling the Toolroom budget To manage the ordering and receiving of supplier’s parts To hold and attend meetings pertaining to Tooling or Development related issues To uphold and ensure compliance to all Health & Safety - Environmental legislations Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others. Ensure that you comply and adopt the 5S programme regarding the organisation of your work environment EDUCATION/TRAINING
Full apprenticeship or time served as Toolmaker HNC (or higher) in Engineering EXPERIENCE
Previous supervisory experience All toolmaking and development skills KNOWLEDGE
Toolmaking processes CNC knowledge Moulding & Processes OTHER
To undertake training as and when required Prepared to be ‘hands on’ BENEFITS:
