Mon – Thu 38 hours (4 day week) Start time 6.00am finish time 4.00pm
Our client based in the Fareham are is looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operator to operate a carbon filament winding machine for yacht and dinghy spars.
Hours:
Mon – Thu 38 hours (4 day week) Start time 6.00am finish time 4.00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with material preparation, Autoclave works & spar extraction
Ensure work is to specification (BOM) and to quality / process standard (PHB)
Responsible for quality of items leaving workstation, seek methods for improvement
Deliver to weekly production plan
Maintain tidy working environment and equipment
Ensure stock accuracy
Ensure paperwork is completed and signed and then return to Supervisor for processing. Ensure job pack is collected, completed, and passed on with each job.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
CNC machine operation
Technical knowledge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Problem solving and decision-making abilities
Time management
Continuous learning
Desirable:
Basic knowledge of composite materials & manufacture
Knowledge of filament winding
Able to interpret basic engineering drawings
Working with lifting equipment
