Our client, who is an award winning designer, manufacturer and supplier of UK goods to both local and international clients, who is committed to delivering innovation, reliability, and sustainability in every project. To maintain reputation and continuous improvement, they are seeking a part-time Quality Manager to oversee and maintain the ISO 9001 quality management system.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and auditing the companies Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 requirements. The role ensures compliance, drives continual improvement, and supports the wider team in achieving the company’s quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System across the business.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, document findings, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
  • Prepare for and coordinate external ISO 9001 audits and surveillance visits.
  • Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators.
  • Develop, review, and update company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Train and support staff to ensure quality awareness and compliance.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and compliance.
  • Ensure records are maintained in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Support product and supplier quality assurance activities as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing ISO 9001 quality systems (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and auditing practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with staff at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on a part-time basis.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (desirable).
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification (preferred but not essential).

Hours

  • 1–2 days per week (flexible to days)

Salary

  • £15 - £17 per hour depending on experience
  • Free Car Parking
