Join a well-established precision engineering business in Waterlooville, producing high-quality components to demanding engineering specifications. This CNC Turner role offers an attractive salary, overtime opportunities and an early finish every Friday. Working within a supportive and friendly environment, you will play a key role in maintaining quality, efficiency and on-time production.

Responsibilities

• Set and program FANUC-controlled lathes, including Citizen, Miyano and DMG Mori machines.
• Produce precision components from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality checks using precision measuring equipment and gauges.
• Complete inspection records and interpret tooling sheets.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machine performance and report maintenance requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, health and safety.
• Keep the machining area clean, organised and compliant with company standards.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally with 5+ years’ experience.
• Strong FANUC setting and programming experience.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Good understanding of machining principles and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is highly desirable.
• Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.

Hours & Benefits

• Monday–Thursday: 07:30–16:30 Friday: 07:30–13:30
• 40 hours per week
• Overtime available at an attractive rate
• 22 days’ holiday + Bank Holidays
• Contractual sick pay
• Christmas shutdown
