Are you an experienced CNC Vertical Lathe Setter/Operator who can confidently set, prove and operate CNC lathes while producing high-quality precision components? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business investing heavily in its machining capability and future growth. Working a four-day twilight shift, you'll play a key role in producing precision aluminium components within a modern, quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Set, prove and operate CNC Vertical Lathes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Machine precision components to tight tolerances.
Complete first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
Use micrometres, verniers, bore gauges and other measuring equipment.
Monitor tooling performance and suggest process improvements.
Record inspection results, downtime and scrap accurately.
Support continuous improvement activities while maintaining high safety standards.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous experience as a CNC Vertical Lathe Setter/Operator or CNC Lathe Setter.
Ability to read engineering drawings confidently.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Good understanding of machining tolerances.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Proactive approach with pride in producing quality work.
Experience with PUMA CNC machines would be advantageous but is not essential.

Competitive pay of £20.00 per hour plus 20% Twilight Shift Premium (equivalent to £24.00 per hour).
Four-day working week (Monday to Thursday).
