Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established fire and security specialist in the search for a Fire Alarm Engineer to cover sites across Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer seeking secure, long-term employment with training, career progression and a competitive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain conventional, addressable, two-wire and wireless fire alarm systems.
  • Inspect and service fire extinguishers.
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
  • Service and maintain AOV systems.
  • Diagnose faults and respond to emergency call-outs.
  • Complete remedial repairs where required.
  • Assist with servicing of access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems where applicable.
  • Support the commissioning of fire alarm systems when required.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
  • Good understanding of BS5839 and BS5266 standards.
  • FIA and BAFE qualifications or accreditations are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of security systems and associated regulations.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements, including asbestos awareness.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player and a practical, solution-focused approach.
