Due to continued expansion our client is looking to add a skilled CNC Turner / Miller to their manufacturing team., working within a modern machine shop, the successful CNC Turner / Miller will play a key role in producing precision-engineered components across a variety of materials. This is a hands-on position offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop your skills within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning and milling machines.
Produce precision components from technical drawings and specifications.
Interpret CAD drawings and SolidWorks models accurately.
Carry out quality inspections using standard measuring equipment.
Select and set up tooling for a range of materials and applications.
Troubleshoot machine issues and carry out basic machine maintenance.
Support wider production activities, including plastics manufacturing processes when required.
Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience as a CNC Turner / Miller in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to programme CNC machines from scratch.
Strong knowledge of both CNC turning and milling processes.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models.
Familiarity with Siemens, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.
Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup.
Competent using hand tools, workshop equipment, and measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach.
