This Twilight Shift role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team maintaining a fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment to the highest safety and compliance standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Mechanic looking for long-term stability, training opportunities, and a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections to manufacturer and DVSA standards
Diagnose faults across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and maintain high pass rates
Complete job cards and time recording accurately
Support planned maintenance schedules across the fleet
Ensure all work is completed safely and cost-effectively
Travel between sites when required
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
Skills & Experience Required
Recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle or plant engineering
Experience working as an HGV Mechanic or similar role
Strong understanding of pneumatic braking systems
Confident carrying out electrical fault finding and repairs
Ability to inspect vehicles to MOT standards
Good organisation and communication skills
Flexible attitude with willingness to learn new skills
Full UK Driving Licence required
