This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor to lead a workshop team, maintain high safety standards, and support the ongoing development of technicians and apprentices.
The successful Late Shift Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring repairs, servicing, and inspections are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise workshop technicians and fitters during late shift operations
Ensure repairs and servicing are completed safely and cost-effectively
Promote safe working practices and compliance with PPE procedures
Assist with vehicle fault diagnosis and roadside repairs when required
Work closely with transport teams to maximise vehicle availability
Ensure vehicles are prepared for MOT testing and compliance standards
Complete workshop documentation, service sheets, and job cards accurately
Support apprentices and trainees with ongoing development
Skills & Experience Required
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop operations
Understanding of DVSA, VOSA, and health & safety regulations
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload effectively
Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office
First Aid and Fire Marshall training desirable
Full UK Driving Licence required
