Role Overview
This is a practical, hands-on position supporting the installation of electronic security systems. It offers a great pathway for individuals with experience in electrical work, cabling, or the security sector who are eager to build their expertise and advance toward becoming a fully qualified Installation Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Assist lead engineers with the installation of:
CCTV systems (IP & analogue)
Intruder alarms
Access control and intercoms
Assist with cable installation, equipment mounting, and material preparation as instructed.
Transport tools, equipment, and materials to sites and ensure they are stored securely.
Support testing and commissioning activities under guidance.
Maintain a clean and organised work area while following all health and safety protocols.
Offer general on-site assistance to the engineering team
Requirements
Some experience of electrical work, cabling, or construction/site work.
Good practical/DIY skills and willingness to learn.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
Full UK driving licence (or working towards it).
Flexibility to travel and occasionally work out of hours.
ECS/CSCS card. (Desirable)
Basic knowledge of electronic security or networking. (Desirable)
Experience using hand and power tools. (Desirable)
