Are you a Workshop Technician confident using workshop machinery and able to read technical drawings?

Join an established engineering business where you’ll support the safe, efficient delivery of workshop manufacturing, maintenance and operational activities.

As a Workshop Technician, you’ll manufacture, assemble, maintain and repair equipment and components to engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. The role also offers the opportunity to support equipment mobilisation, logistics and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture equipment, components and fabricated items from engineering drawings.
• Operate workshop machinery including bandsaws, pillar drills, hand tools and fabrication equipment.
• Measure and mark out materials accurately from technical drawings.
• Interpret engineering and mechanical drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain workshop machinery, tools, plant and facilities.
• Support equipment preparation, mobilisation, maintenance and repairs.
• Work with engineering, technical, operations and logistics teams.
• Assist with on-site activities and operational deployments when required.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment.
• Competent use of workshop plant such as bandsaws and pillar drills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling or assembling components.
• Understanding of dimensions, tolerances and mechanical terminology.
• Ability to work safely with workshop equipment and tools.
• Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
• Proactive approach with good communication and teamwork skills.
