Are you a CNC Field Service Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills who enjoys working independently across the UK?

Workshop Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business with an excellent reputation for quality machinery and customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Field Service Engineer to join a successful team supporting customers nationwide.

You'll receive two weeks of intensive training on joining, giving you a solid understanding of the company's CNC machinery and service standards, followed by ongoing technical development and support from an experienced Service Helpdesk team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, service and repair CNC machinery at customer sites.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service during every site visit.
  • Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays on larger projects.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years' experience as a CNC Field Service Engineer or in a similar field service role.
  • Background within the machinery or CNC industry.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away when required.
