Our client based in Aldershot is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Grinder, this role is responsible for selecting and mounting the cutting tools required for CNC and conventional
grinding operations, positioning workpieces on the machine and performing the required grinding
operations (Internal and External).
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing the machine for grinding operations (setting)
Grinding, deburring and polishing workpieces to bring them to the desired shape and dimensions, in accordance with the design specifications
Mounting and dismounting workpieces on/from the grinding machine
Able to use measuring equipment to check finished pieces (quality control)
Reporting any machining or fabrication defects or imperfections
Carrying out maintenance of grinding machine and cutting tools
Keeping work area clean and orderly
Support colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of
the company
Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company
Be punctual at all times
Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required
Skills and Qualifications/Experience:
Qualification in engineering or similar field
3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar industry/role
The ability to read technical/mechanical drawings
Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving
Be proactive and a great team player
To be a quick learner and adaptable to change
Have excellent attention to detail
Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines
Hours:
Mon -Thur: 07:00 – 15:45
Fri: 06:00 – 13:00
Agreed overtime will be paid at x1.5
Benefits:
33 days holiday including bank holidays
