Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established construction and maintenance business in the search for a reliable Labourer to join their growing team in Portsmouth. This permanent opportunity offers long-term stability, varied work, and the chance to develop within a supportive and professional environment.
The successful Labourer will support responsive repairs, routine maintenance, and void property works across housing and corporate properties, alongside assisting skilled trades teams on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Support Groundworkers with fencing, paving, drainage, and concrete repairs
Assist Roofers with pitched and flat roof repairs
Carry out general labouring duties across maintenance projects
Remove and transport waste materials safely
Assist tradespeople with site tasks as required
Maintain safe and tidy working environments
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous experience working as a Labourer within construction
Good understanding of construction methods and materials
Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
Ability to carry out physically demanding work
Full UK driving licence essential with own vehicle (could be required to drive company van)
CSCS card preferred not essential
