Our client is looking for a very experienced Plasterer with some multi skills such as painting, to carry out work within the Havant, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Paulsgrove area. Must be experience, own tools, excellent customer service as you will be dealing with clients, and social housing tenants, must have a full, clean driving license.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Be prepared to remove any defective wall or ceiling finish in preparation for the application of a new base coat / plaster.
Apply 2 coats of sand and cement render coat finish, including the use of any stainless steel/plastic beads where necessary.
Apply up to 6mm multi-finish plaster to a high standard to any wall or ceiling surface, including the use of any stainless steel or plastic beads where necessary.
Apply sand and cement base coat and 6mm multi-finish plaster to a high standard to any wall or ceiling surface, including the use of stainless steel or plastic beads where necessary.
Apply textured coating, Artex to a basic pattern (e.g., Stipple, broken leather, or basic comb pattern).
Be able to replace plasterboard to any wall or ceiling, including any new noggins, battens and fixings or dot and dab. Dry line caulk and fill.
Must also be willing to undergo training for non-licensed asbestos removal to be able to remove or repair textured coatings like Artex.
Willing to work at heights using aluminium tower scaffold, fixed scaffold, ladders, or steps.
Be able to paint with a mist coat to newly dried plaster finishes.
Treat mould with fungicidal washes.
Bonding porous surfaces with either PVA, SBR or similar.
