Our client is an expanding construction and management company delivering a wide range of projects across the South. Known for their professionalism, quality, and commitment to growth, they are offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate / Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team and start their career in a supportive, hands-on environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to begin or develop their career in Quantity Surveying. Working closely with their experienced commercial and site teams, you’ll gain exposure to all aspects of cost control, procurement, and project management within the retail construction industry. They are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who’s eager to learn and grow.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with cost estimation, tender preparation, and procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Supporting senior surveyors in preparing valuations, variations, and progress reports
    Assisting with contract administration and document control
  • Helping to manage budgets and track project costs
  • Liaising with site teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance

Requirements

  • A degree, HND/HNC or years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or currently studying part-time)
  • Possibility of travelling, accommodation will be paid for
  • Strong understanding of UK health & safety laws and best practices
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and IT skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in construction and commercial management
