Hard Landscaper

Job Description

Workshop Recruitment are looking for an experienced Hard landscaper who also has skills in soft landscaping as well, someone who brings a new challenge to build, shape, and transform outdoor spaces, to work on incredible gardens to create new landscapes and developing existing landscapes. You will be working with designers, clients and a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

Every day will be different, but your role will include:

• Constructing and installing hard landscaping features – including paving, decking, fencing, walls, and drainage systems
• Reading and interpreting landscape plans and technical drawings
• Operating machinery and tools safely and efficiently
• Preparing groundworks – excavation, levelling, and base preparation
• Collaborating with designers and clients to bring outdoor visions to life
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Build patios, pathways, retaining walls, fencing, decking, and bespoke garden features alongside passionate professionals

Skills

• A strong work ethic – You take pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship
• 4+ years of experience in hard landscaping or construction
• Good understanding of materials, techniques, and site safety
• A full UK clean driving licence
• Excellent communication skills – You’ll be working with designers, clients, and a close-knit team
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude – We’re looking for someone who enjoys building beautiful spaces from the ground up
• Soft Landscape experience
• Machinery qualifications - Beneficial
• Drainage experience – Beneficial
