Workshop Recruitment is recruiting for an Assembler / Electronics Assembly Operative to join a growing electronics manufacturing business in the Portsmouth area. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assembler who enjoys precision work and wants to become part of a supportive team producing high-quality electronic products.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble electronic components and products to a high standard.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and technical specifications.
Carry out PCB and electronic assembly tasks accurately.
Perform visual quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
Follow company procedures and quality processes at all times.
Support continuous improvement within the assembly process.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous experience as an Assembler within electronics manufacturing.
Experience with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly).
Knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) is desirable.
Screen printing experience would be advantageous.
Familiarity with IPC or J-STD standards is beneficial.
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions.
Reliable team player with good written and spoken English.
