A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join an established law firm in Portsmouth. Working as part of a busy and friendly Property team, you will provide key support to Fee Earners across a varied commercial property caseload.
Working closely with Fee Earners, you will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support across a varied portfolio of commercial property matters.
Your responsibilities will include: Supporting Fee Earners with a varied commercial property caseload. Opening new files and matters on the firm’s Case Management system. Preparing client care letters. Drafting correspondence, documents and precedents on behalf of Fee Earners. Submitting property searches and assisting with reports on search results and title documentation. Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications. Assisting with completions and post-completion formalities. Liaising with clients, solicitors and other relevant parties to ensure matters progress smoothly and Fee Earners are kept up to date. Audio typing from digital dictation. Managing diaries and arranging client and departmental meetings using Outlook. Providing general administrative and legal support to the Property team as required.
You will ideally have: At least 1 years legal secretarial or legal assistant experience within Property. Experience supporting commercial property matters. Strong legal administration and secretarial skills. Experience with audio typing and digital dictation systems. Previous experience using a Case Management system.
What they offer: Monday Friday 9am 5pm and in the office. Salary depending on experience - £25,000 + Competitive holiday plus bank holiday. Pension scheme.
