A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join a successful and growing legal team in Petersfield. This role would suit an experienced legal support professional with a genuine interest in Private Client work, looking to build on their existing experience within a supportive and established team.
You will provide essential support across a varied caseload, working closely with experienced solicitors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career within Private Client law.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing day-to-day legal and administrative support to the Private Client team.
Assisting with matters relating to Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Preparing and amending legal documents and correspondence.
Opening, maintaining and closing client files.
Liaising with clients and other relevant parties.
Preparing documents for meetings and assisting with the preparation of Wills and other private client documentation.
Managing diaries, arranging appointments and assisting with client meetings.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are kept up to date.
Handling confidential and sensitive client information appropriately.
Supporting the wider Private Client team with general administrative duties as required.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a Private Client legal environment, although applications from candidates with broader legal support experience will also be considered.
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Paralegal or similar within a law firm.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
A professional and personable approach when dealing with clients.
Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider team.
What’s on Offer:
Salary depending on experience £25,000 - £28,000.
Monday Friday 9am 5pm.
