We are working with a leading expert in ship navigation systems and maritime solutions tailored to as a team, they foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Our client is looking for a Test Engineer for the test and configuration of products and systems for Naval Bridge Systems projects & Maritime Surveillance Systems projects delivered by the company.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Building, configuring and fault diagnosis of PC based systems
  • Interface testing including network-based systems and serial protocols (e.g., RS-422)
  • Creation of test specifications, test plans for integration and system testing
  • Testing and acceptance (verification and validation) of systems and software
  • Support systems and software engineers regarding debugging and root cause analysis of deviations / problems
  • Where necessary conduct configuration Repair and Test of customer returned items.

Education requirements

A recognised qualification in Engineering such as HNC

Vocational Training requirements

  • Experience in the test and integration of technical systems
  • Ideally Knowledge and experience of testing marine electronics systems including radar systems, electronic chart systems, Navigation aids and steering control systems.
  • Experience in use of Tools such as DOORS, SVN, MS Office, Visio, JIRA
