Our client based in the Fareham area is looking to recruit a NPI Quality Engineer.

JOB PURPOSE

  • To act as the Quality lead / representative for NPI programs
  • The Successful introduction and integration of new product launches

HOURS

Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4.45pm, Friday 7.45m – 12.45

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As part of a CFT to manage projects through structured gated process Standardised Development System SDS from concept/quotation to production-handover
  • Plan, coordinate, implement and finalise projects according to specifications and deadlines, while maintaining the project performance indices i.e. Quality, Cost & Delivery
  • Ensure that the product meets quality requirements in line with Customer Specification
  • Complete quality documentation as per Customer Specific APQP Requirement
  • Support/review component approvals / ISIR / Homologation / spec testing and any other testing required
  • Creation of Control Plan in line with DFMEA / PFMEA and Process Flow
  • Creating a Gauge Plan
  • Creation of AAR and PSW Samples
  • Creation and Implementation of safe launch Firewall (Goods in / Assembly)
  • Implementation of safe launch RFT data
  • Storage of completed PSW Folder
  • Support of Supplier Quality concerns
  • Support Validation of Approved Supplier PPAP
  • Management and Sign Off of Customer PPAPs.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personnel safety and the safety of others
  • Ensure that you comply and adopt the CANDO (5S) programme regarding the organisation of your work environment

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years in similar role
  • Automotive / Aerospace

KNOWLEDGE

  • ISO 9001
  • Quality Core tools
  • APQP / FMEA (AIAG / VDA) / Control Plans / SPC / PPAP / MSA.
  • Engineering Drawings / GD&T
  • Quality Planning and Management
  • Metrology or Inspection Methods and Equipment
  • 8D Problem Solving Methodology
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Commercial understanding

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Excellent team worker
  • Report writing and procedures
  • Presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple mathematical and statistical concepts
  • Assertiveness and influencing skills

OTHER

  • Professional approach
  • Willing to travel (up to 20% in the UK and Europe)
  • Current passport
