The main responsibility of this role includes the general day to day maintenance of all plant machinery and associated equipment alongside general site maintenance.
HOURS
Double Day Shift
06:00 – 14:30 Monday and 06:00 – 14:15 Tuesday to Friday | 13:45 – 22:15 Monday and 14:00 – 22:15 Tuesday to Friday (39 hours per week).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out the TPM system (planned maintenance) and maintain all relevant records.
Carry out the safe installation of new production lines.
In-house relocation of machinery and associated equipment.
Lighting and power distribution maintenance and repair.
Compressed air equipment maintenance and repair.
Maintain and repair all lighting and small power.
Maintain and repair all equipment on assembly cells to include Siemens PLC controlled equipment.
Maintain and repair moulding machines and all associated equipment.
Maintain and repair all hydraulic/pneumatic plant equipment.
To carry out all pipe work installations and relocations.
To carry out maintenance/repair to all jigs and fixtures.
To carry out all necessary oil changes.
Ensure stock level spares are maintained and ordered when required.
To ensure all plant and machinery conform to Health & Safety requirements.
Provide support & assistance to other departments as required.
Provide support and mentoring to Apprentices and Junior Engineers.
Achieve personal business objectives (PBO).
Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.
Support out of hours callout on a rota basis/or weekends to meet business demand.
Ensure that you comply and adopt the 5S programme regarding the organisation of your work environment.
DESIRABLE EDUCATION/TRAINING
Electrical qualification
Mechanical qualification
Computer literate
EXPERIENCE
Experience working within a Maintenance department in a factory environment
Control system fault finding (electronic) and electrical
Injection moulding experience
KNOWLEDGE
Familiar with Single Phase and 3 Phase installation
Control system knowledge
PLC (Siemens and Mitsubishi) Familiar with Health and Safety requirements Environmentally aware
