The Opportunity Are you an experienced 5 Axis CNC Machinist with strong setting, operating and programming skills looking for a weekend-based role? Workshop Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-performance composite components for advanced industries. This Weekend 5 Axis CNC Machinist role offers a flexible 36 or 40-hour working week across Friday to Sunday, with a strong hourly rate, shift allowance and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines.
Machine epoxy/PU patterns, fixtures and carbon components.
Program and edit CNC code for complex components.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards.
Follow SOPs and machining procedures.
Troubleshoot machining issues and perform routine maintenance.
Maintain accurate production and tooling records.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with 5-axis machining.
Confident setting, operating and programming CNC machinery.
Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork.
Commitment to safe working practices.
Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Hours & Benefits
Friday to Sunday 36 or 40 hours per week, with flexibility.
£19£23 per hour depending on experience with a £5 per hour shift allowance.
Overtime paid at time and a half.
20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 25 days plus Bank Holidays.
