Painter & Decorator, Southampton SO14, £22 Per Hour, 2 Weeks, Start Date: 8th June

Are you an experienced Painter & Decorator with your own van and tools, confident delivering high-quality finishing work within residential apartments? A well-established company is looking for a reliable Painter & Decorator to work across two high-end apartment blocks in the Southampton SO14 area.

This Painter & Decorator role offers 2 weeks work, carrying out reactive and planned decorating works within the luxury residential apartments. The successful candidate will join a professional team focused on maintaining exceptional standards across the site.

The ideal person for the role will have strong experience in painting, decorating, surface preparation, and general property maintenance, interior and external, You must be dependable, well presented, and able to work independently. Applicants should live in Southampton or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Duties

• Carry out reactive and planned painting and decorating works
• Internal & external works
• Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming
• Complete internal painting to a high standard
• Undertake patch repairs and touch-up decorating work
• Repair minor wall damage and prepare areas for repainting
• Maintain clean and organised work areas
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Deliver excellent standards within occupied residential properties

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator
• Strong knowledge of painting and surface preparation
• Ability to complete high-quality finishing work
• Own van and tools are essential
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Reliable with strong timekeeping
• Well presented with good communication skills
• Must provide 2 satisfactory references
• Live in the Southampton arere
