Are you an Electrician with strong wiring and containment experience looking for your next contract role on the Isle of Wight? Do you have the ability to work independently and confidently manage residential communal area projects?

Workshop Recruitment is looking for an experienced Electrician to support a well-established contractor on a 4–5 week contract across residential communal areas on the Isle of Wight. This Electrician role will involve a variety of electrical works, with a strong focus on wiring and containment installations in residential , mainly communal areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable Electrician seeking a short-term contract with competitive day rates and travel support for Portsmouth-based candidates. Must live in the Portsmouth area, or on the Isle of Wight.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wiring and containment installations in residential communal areas
• Complete general electrical installation and maintenance work
• Install and terminate electrical systems safely and efficiently
• Read and work from electrical drawings and specifications
• Conduct testing and inspection where required
• Ensure all work is completed to current regulations and standards
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
• Work independently and manage daily tasks effectively

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as an Electrician within residential or commercial environments
• Strong wiring and containment experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good understanding of electrical regulations and safety standards
• Reliable, organised, and self-motivated approach
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Qualifications Required

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• AM2
