Workshop Recruitment are seeking a reliable trade delivery driver to support daily operations across Havant, Waterlooville, Portchester, and Paulsgrove area, must have experience of driver long wheeled vehicles, flatbed trucks, transit vans. The role involves delivering materials and van stock to operatives and subcontractors at various sites and properties in and around the area.

You will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries are accurate, maintaining proper records, and updating all relevant information and paperwork for each delivery. Adhering to company procedures and ensuring all processes are followed correctly will be an essential part of the role.

In addition to driving duties, you will also assist with warehouse work, handling incoming deliveries, site clearance tasks, and general labouring duties as required to support operational needs, must have a clean full UK driving license, must experience in a trade, delivery environment, and have good knowledge of materials, must live within 20 mile radius of the Havant area.

Main Duties:

  • Deliver materials and van stock to operatives and subcontractors at sites and properties across Havant and surrounding areas
  • Ensure all deliveries are accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain delivery records and ensure all paperwork and information is updated correctly
  • Follow company procedures and delivery processes at all times
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including organising stock and handling incoming deliveries
  • Support site clearance tasks when required
  • Carry out general labouring duties to support operational needs
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness, basic checks, and safe loading/unloading of materials
  • Communicate effectively with site staff, subcontractors, and colleagues

Skills And Knowledge Required

  • Experience driving long-wheelbase vans and flatbed trucks
  • Previous delivery driving experience within the trade
  • Labouring experience, including site clearance and general manual duties
  • Good knowledge of trade materials and construction supplies
  • Strong knowledge of the local area, Havant and surrounding routes
  • Ability to handle deliveries accurately and complete paperwork correctly
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills when dealing with operatives, subcontractors, and site staff
  • Presentable at all times, good customer service
