Electrician
Fareham | £43K per Annum + 34 Days Holiday + Company Vehicle & Fuel Card + Training & Development | Permanent
Are you an experienced Electrician with strong fault-finding, testing and inspection skills and a background in property maintenance?
A well-established property maintenance organisation is looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to work across the Fareham area. You will complete a varied mix of domestic and commercial electrical repairs, testing, installations and planned maintenance.
This Electrician role would suit someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoys working independently and provides a professional service when working in occupied properties and public buildings.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical testing, inspections and certification.
- Diagnose faults and complete reactive electrical repairs.
- Undertake domestic rewires and general electrical installations.
- Complete electrical works associated with kitchens and bathrooms.
- Install and maintain domestic electrical heating systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and make situations safe.
- Maintain accurate job records, including photographic evidence where required.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Hold an NVQ Level in Electrical Installation.
- Hold City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent – **essential**.
- Hold current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Have completed AM2.
- Demonstrate 2–5 years’ experience in social housing, property or building maintenance.
- Possess strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and live within approximately 20 miles of Fareham.
- Be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check before employment.
Experience working within schools, universities, museums or similar public buildings would also be beneficial.
