Are you an experienced Carpenter with strong first and second fix skills and a background in property maintenance or social housing?
Workshop Recruitment is looking for skilled Carpenters to support a busy housing maintenance contract in Fareham. Initially, you will work primarily on void properties before potentially progressing onto day-to-day responsive repairs.
This temporary Carpenter opportunity offers a minimum of two months work, with the potential to develop into a permanent position.
Job Responsibilities
Complete responsive, routine and void property carpentry repairs.
Carry out first and second fix carpentry work.
Fit and repair doors, frames, ironmongery and associated timberwork.
Complete kitchen installation and repair works.
Undertake ceramic wall tiling and vinyl floor tiling where required.
Protect residents property and leave work areas clean and tidy.
Take ownership of allocated jobs through to completion.
Maintain accurate records and complete works safely and efficiently.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Demonstrate 25 years relevant carpentry or building maintenance experience.
Hold an NVQ Level 23 in Carpentry or equivalent, or demonstrate suitable trade experience.
Have strong knowledge of building materials, methods and repair techniques.
Be competent across a wide range of carpentry repairs.
Have your own suitable van and tools.
Hold a full UK driving licence.
Work independently and manage allocated jobs effectively.
Ideally have experience within social housing or residential maintenance.
