Job Description
Carry out reactive maintenance and planned works across social housing properties, including occupied and void homes.
Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring residents receive a professional and reliable service.
Undertake full kitchen and bathroom rip outs, including the removal of existing fixtures, fittings and finishes, and complete new installations.
Carry out planned maintenance and refurbishment works, including kitchen and bathroom upgrades, property improvements and scheduled repairs.
Complete plumbing repairs, replacements and installation of fixtures and fittings.
Undertake tiling, painting and decorating, carpentry, joinery and general building repairs.
Carry out internal and external repairs, making good walls, floors, ceilings and other areas following maintenance works.
Work safely and professionally in occupied properties, keeping residents informed and treating their homes with respect.
Manage daily workloads, prioritise jobs and complete work within agreed timescales.
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, leaving properties in good condition on completion.
Ensure all work is completed to a good standard, in line with company procedures and customer expectations.
Complete relevant job sheets, report additional works and communicate any issues or follow-on requirements.
Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Skills Required
Proven experience as a Multi Trader within property maintenance, social housing or a similar environment.
Strong practical skills in kitchen and bathroom installations, including full rip outs and refits.
Competent plumbing, painting and decorating, tiling, carpentry, joinery and general building repair skills.
Ability to carry out reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
Ability to undertake planned works, refurbishment projects and property improvement programmes.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Excellent time management, organisation and workload prioritisation skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing work to a good standard.
Ability to work independently, use initiative and manage multiple jobs effectively.
Pride in workmanship, with a professional attitude and a focus on getting the job right first time.
A broad range of additional multi-trade skills and the flexibility to undertake various maintenance tasks.
Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.

Good knowledge of reactive maintenance procedures, including responding to repair requests, identifying faults, assessing the required works and completing repairs safely and efficiently.
Understanding of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes, including scheduled property upgrades, kitchen and bathroom renewals, and void property works.
Knowledge of full kitchen and bathroom installation processes, including preparation, removal of existing fixtures and fittings, first-fix and second-fix works, finishing and making good.
Understanding of plumbing, domestic plumbing faults, repairs and installation of sanitaryware and associated fittings.
Good knowledge of tiling, painting and decorating techniques and the preparation of surfaces to achieve a quality finish.
Knowledge of carpentry, joinery, general building repairs and internal and external property maintenance.
Understanding of health and safety requirements when working in occupied homes, void properties and on maintenance sites.
Knowledge of working to job specifications, agreed timescales and quality standards.
Understanding of the importance of accurate reporting, identifying additional works and communicating repair requirements.
