Neville Voss, Technical Director for Infinity Renewables had big plans for the business…

The company was expanding, and quickly.  Unfortunately, recruiting the right candidates for the expansion of the business was proving more difficult.

“We’ve toyed with recruiters in the past. And in all honesty, it didn’t really work out for us,” said Neville.

Often spammed with tons of unsuitable and poor-quality candidates from the more target-driven recruiters, left Neville and his team swamped…

“We didn’t have the expertise or the time in-house to vet the candidates. So, we were left with substandard candidates, who weren’t the right fit for our business.  It was a complete waste of time.”

“Also, other recruiters that we were working with, didn’t spend the time to come and see us to understand the culture of the business. Their method was to just send us candidates and hope that one would stick. It just wasn’t efficient.”

Neville knew that this method was not going to cut it for Infinity.  The problem the business had was that they didn’t have the time or the necessary expertise in-house to recruit for the number of candidates they were looking to bring on board.

Perfect timing

With the evolution of Infinity at the forefront of his mind, Neville then needed office staff.

“At first, the candidates that were coming through weren’t really fit for the business.”

“How you dealt with our initial concern was spot on. Within a week, Kerry and Sophie were in the office. And since then, it’s been perfect. We’re all on the same page.”

Going from strength to strength
