World Food Day 2023

Date: 16th October 2023
Author: Abbi King

World Food Day is celebrated annually on the 16th of October to commemorate the 1945 founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization and the theme for this year is: ‘Water is life, water is food. Leave no one behind.’

Water is essential to life on earth, yet only 2.5% of water is fresh, suitable for drinking, agriculture and most industrial uses. Water is a driving force for people, economies, nature and the foundation of our food, but like all natural resources it is not infinite.

To raise awareness this World Food Day we have chosen to come together and prepare foods from some of our favourite countries across the globe to all enjoy a lunch together in the office.
