What’s your background?

Originally worked for Estee Lauder in finance for 5 years, I was given a fair amount of responsibility at a young age and it was a tremendous experience. Had a desire to get into a more people orientated role, completed a HR qualification and an opportunity to work in recruitment fell on my lap which felt like a move in the right direction.

What do you do at your company?

I am involved in the overall running of the business and focus on delivering solutions for our clients and candidates. My main focus is on our commercial, sales & marketing and legal divisions. I still run a desk, I really enjoy the day to day of doing the job and working with candidates and clients.

What are your credentials/past experience that led to you being here?

Recruitment sort of fell in front of me and was fortunate enough to enjoy it and take to it quickly. My hard work gave me the opportunity to become part of the team that purchased the company in 2008.

What do you like about working at your company?

I just really, really enjoy the doing the job. Don’t get me wrong there are certainly tough and stressful times but I get to do something I love. My role offers me variety, I get to work with some great companies from start-ups to corporate businesses, deal with different types of people every day and work some amazing roles. We are very lucky to have a team of people in our business that care about the company and the job they do.

What are the values that drive you?

Resilience, hard work, honesty, self-motivation, teamwork, focus, always trying to find a way and giving your best.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Family, friends and football! I’m not sure my missus would agree it is always in that order but spending time with her and my two boys is what it’s all about. I have an 18 year old, who is fast making me lose my hair and a 5 year old who is so much fun. Have a really great circle of friends and this job is responsible for a fair few of them. And, anybody who knows me, knows how much I love my football!
