May 15-22 is Learning at Work Week (LAW Week). The week is a unique annual event to build learning cultures at work. It aims to put a spotlight on the importance and benefits of continual learning and development and this years’ theme is ‘Create the future’.
At Workshop Recruitment, we actively support and encourage learning at work. Finance Administrator Abbi King is a great example of how this has worked for the business. Whilst Abbi excels at her administration role, she had shown an interest in Workshop’s marketing activities and is currently completing a Level 2 Certificate in Digital Marketing outside of work. Abbi was keen to build on her new skills and continue to learn whilst being at work and this was something the business was happy to help develop further. She has taken on some marketing work for the Sales and Marketing team and now regularly posts on our socials, always coming up with fantastic design ideas to complement our content. Rachel Wardle, who heads up Business Development for the business, comments ‘Abbi is such a welcome addition to the team, she brings a fresh approach and it’s great to see her develop her skills further in the workplace’
