Our client based in the Havant area requires an experienced Warehouse Supervisor.
To ensure goods are safely and efficiently processed and dispatched and that the warehouse is organised and clean in accordance with Company standards. Ensuring that colleagues are working safely and effectively. Supporting the Management Team to ensure their decisions are implemented within the
warehouse.
A current counterbalance forklift is essential for this role.
Core daily duties include:
Using the Company IT systems to process orders (DEAR systems, Google Workspace)
Accurately picking stock for trade customer’s orders
Building pallets for trade customers
Preparing documents for transport and export
Preparing pallets for shipping
Loading outbound pallets by forklift onto trucks
Unloading incoming goods by forklift and checking they are correct
Entering stock arrivals into our warehouse management system
Recording discrepancies in incoming deliveries accurately & efficiently
Putting away and organising the goods within the warehouse.
Accurate stock taking and adjustments to the inventory management system
Keeping accurate records
Ensuring warehouse is organised and operates efficiently
Ensuring the warehouse is clean and safe
Ensuring that routine safety checks are carried out
Reporting problems in the warehouse to the Management Team and working with them to resolve issues.
Other duties include:
Liaising with Trade Team and Production Team colleagues regarding incoming and outgoing goods.
Attending staff meetings and contributing to planning.
Communicating changes in processes or procedures to warehouse colleagues.
Supporting and monitoring colleagues in the warehouse to ensure they are able to fulfil their duties.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Minimum of GCSE C grades in English and Maths or equivalent
2 years + experience in warehouse roles
Able to use counterbalance forklift
Familiarity with computerised inventory & order management systems
Competent with Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications
Understanding of Health & Safety issues within warehouse environments
Able to prioritise working activities and focus on achieving results
Proactive problem solver, taking the initiative to resolve issues
Clear and confident communicator
Team player, cooperating with colleagues to achieve shared goals
