Apprenticeship Business Development Advisor (Engineering related subjects)

A world-class learning enterprise who provide themselves on strong values and enrichment of lives are looking for a business development Advisor to join their team over a very busy and exciting time.

As a Business Development Advisor you will make a significant contribution to enable the setting to meet the strategic priority of growth and financial health by increasing apprenticeship numbers. They will support UK Business Development to achieve and deliver demanding targets by recruiting new business and proactively promoting a range of opportunities available to new and existing employers.

This is a dynamic and proactive role for a self-starter that has a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver agreed targets. You will actively seek the conversion of enquiries into starts and complete all relevant paperwork with 100% accuracy. You will be required to analyse the organisational needs of new and existing employers and undertake business reviews. You will provide information, guidance and support to employers, employees and potential apprentices to ensure they are recruited appropriately.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

•Recruit new business and engage with new employers by actively cold calling and canvassing learning opportunities to promote and sell the College`s Engineering and related apprenticeships to employers and to potential apprentices

•To book visit appointments and close sales using a consultative approach which advises employers and potential apprentices of the range of qualifications and sell appropriately

•To follow up leads given / or accept appointments booked by Employment Services / Lead Generation teams and qualify these in advance, whilst seeking conversion of enquiries into starts by pro-actively marketing and promoting the range of opportunities available to new and existing employers and apprentices

•To provide employers with rapid response to all their enquiries

•To deliver and achieve monthly contract targets set as agreed with line manager and senior management team- Targets for the post holder will be agreed and reviewed on a monthly basis

•To carry out Health & Safety checks and draw up relevant action plans prior to commencement of the course

•Ensure full initial assessment of apprentices and their employers prior to commencement of the programme in line with contract requirements

•To be the key account manager for employers completing vacancy proforma (Job Specifications) , funding & levy payments, interviews, sign up and 4 week follow up call ensuring all paperwork is completed to internal QA and external auditor standards and passed to the Administration team within required timescales for processing

•To Liaise with employers and be responsible for securing repeat business

•It is essential that to occupy such a role, the post holder will have well developed organisational, communication and teamwork skills. S/he will also have an ability to meet targets and deadlines
