£18,000 - £20,000 initially then OTE introduced after successful induction.

Our client requires an experienced Account Manager, based from their modern office and warehouse building in Waterlooville, successful and friendly family business with around 30 employees, established over 40 years ago, their reputation is built on traditional values and exemplary customer service.
Their business has enjoyed consistent growth and is now in a period of reinvestment with a view to delivering further growth over the coming years. This is an exciting time to join an established, successful and innovative company.
They provide leisure equipment to trade accounts, they have over 5000 products in their catalogue, learning product knowledge is key.
Job Role:

  • Sales Manager will vet the new business and passes to the account managers to maintain relationships and maximise billing potential, not all customers are eligible as they have loyalty to existing clients.
  • 2-3 months training with experienced staff to learn role, products and learning technique, including a trip to France to learn how products are made.
  • Months 3-6 an Account Manager will have 100 : 120 accounts given to them and commission structure introduced. Role will be to speak to these to establish orders, grow sales and develop relationship with them.
  • No hard sales but conversions must be there. Some accounts are small and some are very large and person will need to adapt style to who they are speaking with.
  • Each Account Manager makes between 20-30 calls daily and will work as part of a team to gain all orders no matter whose accounts they are.

Key Skills:

  • Customer service skills are key as accounts may have issues such as late orders, repairs, and returns or need technical help.
  • Manage inbound and make outbound calls : Every call unscripted and must be of quality
  • Sales and Customer service : Like to work to a target / want to earn commission / manage complaints
  • Be self-motivated, proactive and be resilient
  • Work well with others
  • Be able to manage own diary effectively

  • Parking available on-site
  • Kitchen / Canteen area on site : Café and other food outlets very near
  • Smart Casual wear : no denim
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday 08.30 : 17.00
  • No criminal violence background : checks may be completed
