Sales Development Representative

Portsmouth

Working as part of a high functioning inside sales team you will focus on the prospecting and lead generation of customers in order to generate high quality well qualified online appointments / web demonstrations. Through a multi-channel approach contact will be across email, telephone and Linked In, warm calling large SMEs and Enterprise clients. On the identification of new customers there will be some cold calling as part of the role. This role offers the chance for development and to work with a high performing sales team with excellent leadership.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • proven experience in sales and demo generation
  • a passion for hitting targets
  • working well within a team environment
  • have a natural desire to personally develop and thrive in a fast paced, growing department
  • articulate well, using open questioning, pitch high level contacts and be able to overcome objections with ease
  • natural negotiation and persuasion skills
  • experience of making outbound calls to Enterprise level clients and / or senior decision makers
  • attention to detail

Key duties

  • Contact will be across email, telephone and Linked In following a set cadence
  • You will be warm calling larger SME and Enterprise level businesses
  • Building appropriate rapport and having intelligent conversations with contacts based on research conducted ahead of calling
  • Generating quality web demonstrations, booking directly into the Sales Team diary
  • Identifying Key Decision Makers and speaking with C suite level contacts
  • Using online resource, you will be a pro at researching, capturing key information to support the qualification and sale process
  • Delivering a consistent weekly number of appointments being driven to deliver and succeed
  • Being proactive in the approach to these accounts and thinking strategically about messaging

Salary and benefits

  • £25-30K basic salary
  • Commission based on sat demos generated and sales closed, with expected OTE £40K+
