Business Development Manager

Portsmouth

£40-45K, £60K+ OTE year one

The purpose of this role will be to secure new business, working closely with marketing teams to identify new prospects within a specified vertical. You will work as part of a sales team of six. You will be targeted on monthly meetings and a month and annual sales quota. The role offers a generous basic salary up to £45K.

Key Duties

  • Self-generate a pool of prospects based on agreed target verticals and personas
  • Manage ongoing communication with key prospect pool
  • Ensure all prospects and sales opportunities are logged and maintained in CRM
  • Provide accurate weekly & quarterly sales forecasts

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to use established process to define sales value propositions
  • Create sales presentations that guide a buyer along a sales process
  • Manage a bid process
  • Ability to sell based on value
  • Understands how to define the buying group
  • Objective problem solver that quantifies the issues and involves key stakeholders with proposed solution
  • Self-motivated starter
  • Goal orientated
